We can plan and design your inside plant network to include floor and space planning, battery design, AC/DC power systems, UPS, HVAC, fire suppression, security alarms, cross connects (optical and electrical), ladder rack, raceways, service entrances, grounding, bonding, and lightning protection. Outside Plant Engineering We have experience in structured cable and wireless media transport systems including voice, data, CCTV, and security. We design both long-haul and local access metro applications utilizing fiber, copper, and microwave radio. All projects include building space and service entrance design to ANSI/TIA/EIA standards, including laterals, raceway, conditioned equipment floor space, AC/DC power, UPS, and other ancillary support systems. Inside Plant Engineering We can plan and design networks on fiber and copper facilities. The design effort includes preliminary route layout and identification of required permits, as well as alternatives to include time estimates for project construction. Optical Engineering We provide planning and design of SONET networks for both LEC and private/customers. (OC-192, OC-48, OC-12, OC-3) Optical design includes study of traffic, link margins and budgets, diversity studies, and selection of vendors, as well as DWDM technologies. Microwave Design We provide planning and design of microwave networks for common carriers and private operators. Our designs include site planning, tower and antenna design, path calculations, frequency coordination, and equipment specification. CCTV Our designs for CCTV networks include route planning and calculations for local access video insertion as well as hybrid fiber coax or wireless selection. We can also design your control and monitoring center. Data Collection/Fusion We are able to collect data from multiple sources and fuse the results in a common format to be securely accessed via the Internet. Bandwidth Studies Southwest can evaluate your existing network, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to route your traffic more efficiently. We can also help you plan and design a new network so that you will have sufficient capacity to serve your customers.
